For all those who entertaIned the idea that at 11.11am Friday June 14 WORLDsillyWEEK would not and could not happen IF they ignored it.
Well 11.11am happens every day around the world on auspicious and ordinary days alike. Here it is documented just outside the Mayor of Launceston's office and had he looked out the window he too would have witnessed it. However, he failed to respond to and invitation to attend and that just might have been because there was no mention of a ribbon to cut or an envelope to open.
However, please note that the TIGERbus passed, the traffic flowed in an orderly manner, people walked together on the street and a man wearing a FROCKcoat and TOPhat crossed the road at the traffic lights. The TOWN HALL CLOCK rang out at 11am and at 11.11am the little hand was on 11 and the big hand was on 11 and it was correct.
SO, 11.11 am happened and WORLDsillyWEEK began albeit without the Mayor's acknowledgement or participation. Anyway, once a profound truth has been seen, it cannot be 'unseen'. There's no 'going back' to where you were. Even if such a possibility did exist... why would you want to? Mayor!!??
